Starlight's magic is growing stronger. So is her attraction to custard.

Starlight Glimmer's teleportation skills have improved to the extent that she can now travel around Equestria without landing in somepony's dessert. Unfortunately, her determination never to face such a fate again, combined with her predilection for using magic as the solution to pretty much any problem, means she's now lying in acute discomfort in Twilight's castle.

This is a Custardverse story, a sequel to the equally ridiculous Starlight Repeatedly Teleports into Custard from 2016. It only barely passes a thousand words, and it's no great work of literature. However, it is the first time I've been able to slap a "Complete" tag on anything at all since The Book of Ended Lives in February 2017, and for that reason alone I'm immensely relieved to have got it written. TBoEL is the better story by a very substantial margin, but that isn't the point here.

More custard news

For reasons that I confess largely escape me, Starlight Repeatedly Teleports into Custard has been given a Seattle's Angels feature. That's provided me with about 30 extra views, so I'm not complaining, but I fear I must disappoint reviewer RTStephens, who suggested I write a sequel involving Trixie and a vat of pudding. For one, it's already been done (main-series comic #21) and for two, I already know what the sequel is going to be – and it'll come out just before UK PonyCon in October.

That said, I do agree with Snails where dessert is concerned.

The Custardverse Awakes!

Back in October, I published Starlight Repeatedly Teleports into Custard. For a joke (as if the fic itself wasn't enough of one already) I declared that it was the first story in the Custardverse. I confidently expected it also to be the last story in the Custardverse, at least until such time as I was silly enough to write a sequel myself.

But no! Guiding Breeze has now produced a Custardverse fic of his own. That's right, folks: my universe has its first side story. A pretty weird feeling, I can tell you. It's not canon to the 'verse, as such, but does that matter? Nope. If you're interested in seeing someone else's take on the custard thing, you can check it out here:
