What's your most prized non-plushie Pony possession?

As the subject line says! I'm simply curious. I'm excluding plushies because they tend to be chosen again and again when this kind of question is asked, and I'd like a little more variety. As usual with this type of post, I do intend to give my own answer in the near future – but not until I've seen a few of your replies! :P

  1. Odd question, since I have maybe two pony plushes. But since I recently unpacked most of my other belongings, it's definitely the collection of EQG dolls of characters who never appeared in EQG, notably Zecora and the Mane-iac. :) Love a good toy homage to things that are basically just fanart.

    1. Ooh, that's an interesting answer; thanks! Okay, I know not everyone would pick a plush otherwise, but a lot of people do when I've seen this question elsewhere. FWIW my answer wouldn't have been a plushie regardless of my exclusion. All shall be revealed in time!

  2. I don't know about "prized" specifically, since I don't collect merchandise, but the closest I can get to an answer would be:

My pony DVD collection, S1-7, plus DVDs of the EqG movies and some of the specials (all of them by now, I think?). Not only does it free me from the ad-riddled caprice of YouTube or the confusing deletions of Netflix, but it's just nice to feel like I officially own a copy of the show that I can watch with just a quick CD setup and a bag of chocs, the good old-fashioned way.

    1. I really ought to get more of the FiM seasons on DVD; I only have S1 as it stands. Also the 2017 movie on Blu-Ray, the first EqG film on Blu-ray, the other EqG films on DVD and one or two older-gen things on DVD.

  3. I think my most prized pony possessions are memories and thoughts of these colorful horses, but I guess this is not what you meant.
Of course I would choose pony plushie, because they are soft and cute, and you can cuddle with them. Equestria is just one step closer because of them.
But since You said non-plushie, I choose ponies drawn or painted for me as a gift, because it not only reminds me of ponies, but also of my friends. You can see that somepony put heart into it for you, and this is the best thing about it.

    1. Sounds like a good choice, Mysterious Anonymous Person!

  4. Tricky one for me: not only am I newer to being an MLP fan than most here, but by the time I'd joined the fandom, I'd moved out of getting a lot of merch, a precious plushie on the yearly excepted. Mixture of room and not always wanting a superfluous surplus of trinkets that are just "there". Plushies excepted, most of my MLP merch is small things like keyrings, little tombola prizes, etc. Most of which, being honest, I'd barely notice if it went missing. And some of that I've donated back or given to those who'd get more out of it.

There are certainly non-plush things I intend to get that would for sure be an instant choice (no, I'm not saying what they are, you'll find out when I get them ;), but right now, nothing that doesn't just feel like I'm picking the marginal winner of a bunch of fine disposables. I guess maybe one of my UKPC t-shirts, despite how common they are, because of the memories alongside the design and practicality. Probably the most recent one, though effectively a dead heat between it and 2022.

Ah, an international ghost of mystery, I see! But true, UKPC shirts do have a lot of memories attached. :)

  5. Aside from plushies, all I have is some of the toys, so I guess the couple of Derpy blind bags. I have a few of the buildings as well, that my son picked out as gifts to me when he was very young and we were still watching it as it came out, so the Sugarcube Corner set and the Sweet Apple Acres one were interesting. Some of the small EqG figures were adorable, and I wouldn't have minded getting some of those, but my interest in merch had waned by then.

    1. Oh, and of course I immediately forgot what the true answer may well be: my stealth Derpy t-shirt. It's one from We Love Fine, that's just gray with the bubbles on the hip, and I enjoyed wearing it a lot, though I've almost stopped using it altogether now as it's got a couple of tiny pinholes in it, and I don't want it to get in any worse shape.

    2. Almost the first MLP shirt I ever had was one with a big design of Daring Do's compass rose cutie mark. Not even slightly obvious unless you were in the know... until "Stranger Than Fan Fiction" came out, including ponies wearing that very T-shirt! By that time I was long past worrying about wearing Pony shirts in public, so it was more amusing than anything else.

  6. It's definitely my Twilight Sparkle (unicorn) blindbag figure. When EQD started the Ponies Around the World thing, I stuffed her in my man-purse and that's where she's lived for all these years, getting taken out for photos at any interesting place I visit.

I once went to prison (for my job; I'm way too careful to get caught myself) and the guard who searched my bag found her. He raised his eyebrows, I shrugged, and that was the end of that.
