This will doubtless jinx it, but...

...I'm delighted none of FiM Season 9 has leaked. Yes, I know the information that was in the leaks last year had some stuff about S9, but we really, really don't want another situation like S8 when half the fandom had seen half the episodes (albeit in unfinished form) before S1 E1 even officially aired. At least, I really, really don't want that. Here's hoping it stays that way. Hooves crossed!

    Half the S8 episodes leaked before Season 1 had even aired, all the way back in 2010, before the show had even aired? Huh. The more you know.

    I think you can rest easy, though. The Russian department/individual responsible for the leaks of both those S8 episodes and the Movie itself has supposedly been cracked down on hard. So we should be safe.

      Heh. That was supposed to say E1. Go me.

      The S8 leaks were the worst I can remember, but there were some in the past. I know the "Smile" song got out early, for example, though that was a little before I joined the fandom so I can't bring to mind the precise circumstances.

      Going back to the archived episode reaction threads on Reddit, it seems like fans were asking "Is this where we get that Smile Song?" in every episode for the whole of Season 2 until its eventual appearance :)
